Why bother?

Because complaining is simply not enough. Maybe trying to change things in the area that I live in is the way to go. In the US Congress, I would have been one out of 435. On our County Commission, I am one of out 7. To effect change, maybe starting locally makes more sense. Work from the bottom up, not the top down. Very soon, the window of time for filing to run for Buncombe County Commission will be upon us. I am considering running. Why bother? Because complaining is simply not enough. Would I have a chance? I welcome your thoughts.
