Greetings District 11...soon to be District 14.

Great time at the Haywood County Republican Fundraiser. Ran into Madison Cawthorn and congratulated him on taking the Conservative fight to District 13. I look forward to fighting the career politicians with him.

We live in interesting times. On November 11, we learned that our Congressman, Madison Cawthorn is going to no longer represent our district and, instead, will run for Congress in the newly created District 13. This news almost made me fall out of my chair. Let me say for the record I wish him well and hope he continues to promote conservative values.

I cannot say whether his decision was the right one, but I respect his courage to follow his conscience and go with his gut. Good luck to him in his new District. He will have my support and good wishes.

My campaign continues strong. I will continue to address the issues and fight for the best interests of our District, State, and Country. My approach hasn't changed. Those of you who support me already - thank you for your trust. I will continue to take a commonsense, business approach to politics.

For those of you still exploring candidate options, I invite you to learn more about me and my Contract with the People of WNC. We have a number of Meet & Greets scheduled over the next few weeks. Send us an email if you'd like to attend.

These times require non-politicians to do the work of the people. The last thing we need is another career politician to represent us. Now, more than ever, we need to remedy the disconnect between career politicians within the Washington DC beltway and us. I am applying for the job. I will be decisive, not divisive.
